“Oh, I wouldn’t mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.” - Augustus Waters.
At this part of the book, I think that Hazel is, or I believe she always was, worried about the fact that she might die and leave Augustus alone. She was worried about that because, Augustus already lost someone he had a kind of relationship with. It was somehow different though, because he didn't really love this other girl that passed away when they were dating. He said that she was a "bitch." And that he didn't know if she was really like that before getting sick, or it was just the tumor in her brain talking.
Hazel didn't want to do that to him, to die and live him alone, because she was afraid that he might not get over it that easily. He loved her already, but Hazel was different, she wasn't an annoying "bitch" to him. She was nice and always said things that were funny to him. And he really loved her because he used his cancer "wish" to take her to Amsterdam to meet her favourite writer. She really tried not to love Augustus, and tried even harder to make him not to love her. But they were meant for each other, might sound corny but, they had same tastes, same personality, they were the same.
